Katie McMenamin
Head of Training & Quality
Having qualified as a paediatric and general nurse in 2011, Katie then went on to do a Masters in Health Promotion. Working to influence the care of the elderly and vulnerable people in the community was the perfect opportunity to marry her qualifications. Katie began her career in further education as a trainer with Elevation Training in 2013 and has since progressed to the role of Head of Training & Quality. Katie holds responsibility for creating a strategy and quality assurance system that ensures learners and staff receive the optimum benefit from their time with Elevation Training.
Joanna Murphy
Programme & Compliance Manager
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Having gained experience of teaching at primary and secondary level, Joanna decided to diversify her career and became a further education and training professional with Elevation Training in 2016. Joanna progressed through the company to assistant manager in 2018 and now as the Programme & Compliance Manager, her creative flair influences the way in which Elevation Training develops and delivers educational programmes. Joanna also holds responsibility for ensuring staff and learner adherence to policies and procedures.
Denise Murphy
Training & Learning Coordinator
Denise began her healthcare career as a training coordinator, she then progressed to the positions of project coordinator, facilitator and instructional designer. Denise is passionate about the difference that training can make to a client’s quality of life. Denise came to Elevation Training in 2022 having worked the previous 9 years in the Intellectual Disability sector for New Zealand’s leading Intellectual Disability support provider. Denise primarily coordinates the administration for QQI learners and staff of Elevation Training.
Julieanne Dalton
Tutor
Julie Anne has worked for many years within the healthcare industry. She began her career as a healthcare worker, caring for the elderly and vulnerable in her community. During her caring career, Julie Anne returned to education to complete her QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare. Julie Anne was inspired through that journey, to continue in her education and qualify to become a further education tutor. This led Julie Anne to join the Elevation Training team in 2019. Julie Anne is passionate about supporting learners through challenges they face when returning to education.
Marie Mc Gowan
Training and Quality Assurance Officer
Marie started working in Adult and Further Education in 2009 after graduating with a Master of Business. Marie’s primary experience is working in quality assurance and ensuring that policies and procedures are working for the benefit of learners and staff. Marie began working with Elevation Training in 2013 as a Training and Learning Coordinator for four years and rejoined the team in 2021 as Training and Quality Assurance Officer. Over the years Marie has worked within the public, community/voluntary and private sectors. Marie is responsible for communicating directly with QQI regarding the validation of programmes, adapting to changes in compliance and governance that impact on our Quality Assurance system. Marie also holds a Level 6 train the trainer qualification and has experience of volunteering as an adult literacy tutor.
Sinead Brady
Training & Learning Coordinator
Sinead holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. Sinead has worked in the Healthcare Industry for the last 7 years in a broad HR capacity covering areas such a HR Administration, Employee Engagement/Retention, Recruitment and Skills Development. Sinead began her career in Learning and Development partnering with local benefits offices to provide work placements and employability qualifications to long term job seekers. Sinead also has experience coordinating training in a third level institute based in Dublin City Centre. Sinead joined the Elevation Training team in 2023 as our Training and Learning Coordinator and primarily coordinates the administration for non-accredited courses within Elevation Training.
Associate Tutors

Additional tutoring staff are sub-contracted to deliver services on behalf of Elevation Training. All tutors have suitable qualifications and experience in the subject matter they deliver, in addition to an appropriate teaching or training qualification.
Elevation Training enlists the assistance of two external consultants on matters of quality assurance. This is done through membership of the academic board. The role of the Academic Board is to advise on the enhancement of training and supports and to maintain oversight of the academic and quality standards of programme provision.

Kathleen is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in adult education. Throughout her career, she has excelled in a variety of roles, consistently demonstrating a learner-oriented approach. Her deep commitment to understanding and enhancing the educational experience has been a hallmark of her work.
Kathleen possesses a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes, having engaged with them at every level. Her expertise ensures that educational programs not only meet but exceed standards, fostering environments where adult learners thrive. Her dedication and extensive experience make her an invaluable asset to any educational institution.
Karen Quinn
Occupational Expert
Karen has more than 20 years’ experience in supporting adults with autism and disabilities in Ireland and Australia. Karen has worked in leadership positions for the past 15 years. Karen is a strong supporter of person centredness and believes everyone can be supported to live an ordinary life in their community where they can be supported with opportunities to develop as valued citizens. Karen spent 5 years teaching and developing an English programme for young learners in Cambodia.
Karen understands the importance of lifelong learning, she began her career after completing a QQI level 6 diploma and has recently completed a Master of Arts in Social Care Leadership and Management.
